Umphakathi FM 90.4 is the first commercial radio station in the West Rand based in Randfontein, founded in 2022. We are the source of music, entertainment and news in West Rand and a driver of social cohesion in the West Rand. We are the trendsetters and pioneers of progress in the community that we broadcast. Umphakathi FM 90.4 broadcast in English, Afrikaans, Tswana, Sotho, Xhosa, Zulu and Tsonga with a broadcasting format that carries 70% music and 30% talk. We have our own uniqueness of being able to speak to Listeners in their own languages in and around Randfontein.
